Whispering Thorns Guest Farm is a picturesque family owned guest farm situated in the heart of the north eastern part of Mpumalanga, only 18 kilometers north of Nelspruit and not far from the Kruger National Park.
We offer our guests a unique setting in which they are able to feel completely at home. Our rustic design gives you that perfect “get away” feeling. The farm is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Lowveld
Whispering Thorns Guest Farm offers a Guest House, self catering accommodation, wedding planner and a spectacular wedding venue. Our “pioneering spirit” is evident in the history and heritage of the farm, we offer an exquisite stay whilst being surrounded by the delightful backdrop of the panorama of the farm.
Combining an atmosphere of rustic charm and sparkling elegance, the guest house offers guests a variety of accommodation for overnight guests attending weddings, or corporate events at Whispering Thorns Guest Farm.
The spacious double storey homestead offers eleven stylishly decorated double bedrooms. All rooms treat guests to luxurious bed linen, shower and pampering toiletries, satellite TV and a coffee/tea station. The various lounge areas and outside patio ensure a restful retreat after a busy day explore
The farm is located in an area of considerable scenic beauty. The climate is said to be one of the best in South Africa, neither excessively hot in summer when rainfall is at its highest, nor overly cold during the sunny winters
The farm is 34 hectares and houses a growing macadamia orchard. Designed to make the most of its natural setting, this unique guest farm is set amongst spreading natural grassland and numerous thorn trees
Given this backdrop, the farm lends itself perfectly to large special occasions, specialising in weddings and corporate events. You can also take time to spot some small wildlife including impala, Nyala & side striped jackal. Try some bird watching or simply relax alongside our manicured gardens.
